Announcing Iron MORKey

This is what I’ve been working on as a short-form, soundbite, no examples, rules light ttrpg game during the recent heat waves, while my diseased brain was melting. Dan Barker is down to do the art, and here’s the cover he’s done. Here’s Iron MORKey.

Iron Morkey cover by Dan Barker

It’s a cyberpunk, post-apocalypse, Journey to the West/Monkey mash-up, using Mork Bork as a base. It’s very 90s Industrial, channelling a lot of my angst about the current state of the world. It’s been on my mind for a couple of years, but the recent heat waves kicked me to do it

Probably the most twisted thing I’ve ever written, even more so than the dying world of Zarth in Crypts and Things. And MOrk Bork was the ruleset/style to do it. No happy endings, unlike Monkey the RPG, which is a more direct take on the Journey to the West. Monkey and company literally go to Hell. Near launching a short, brutal playtest, which I’ll announce when it’s ready.
